Guided Tour of the American Mural Project

12:30 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025
90 Whiting Street, Winsted, CT 06098

The College Club will visit the American Mural Project in Winsted, CT on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. The American Mural Project (AMP) is a nonprofit arts center founded by artist Ellen Griesedieck in 2001 that offers exhibits, events, and educational programs. Its central exhibit is an indoor three-dimensional mural, a tribute to American workers measuring 120 feet long. The mural is viewable from the 5,000-square-foot ground floor and via the 3,000-square-foot second- and third-level platforms.

Following the tour, Club members are invited to walk to nearby Whiting Mills, home to a variety of artists, craftspeople, and retail shops, which will be hosting a “Holiday Sip and Shop” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
