Annually, the College Club of Hartford’s Mitchell Fund Committee identifies one or more beneficiaries to highlight and support philanthropically through Member donations. In 2024-2025, the community organizations are Hartford Neighborhood Center and Our Piece of the Pie.
Hartford Neighborhood Center’s mission is to provide an educational, cultural, social and recreational "safe haven" opportunity for the diverse, ethnic population of Hartford, Connecticut and its surrounding communities. Their school readiness, workforce development programs, and more provide Hartford families with much needed support.
Our Piece of the Pie, Inc. is a nonprofit organization located in Hartford, CT dedicated to empowering youth with the key competencies needed to overcome barriers and succeed in education and employment. The OPP path to success is achieved through Personal Development, Academic Achievement, and Workforce Readiness.
